Learn About Giving

Sixty-two children enter a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital for treatment every minute — that’s one child every second. Some are battling cancer. Some are suffering from a traumatic injury. Others require constant care because they were born too early, or with a genetic disease. Regardless of why the kids are there, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals always have their doors open.

RedhawkTHON dreams of a day when no child or family is affected by childhood illness. As a result of the incredible care and research at Seattle Children’s Hospital, RedhawkTHON is getting closer and closer to this dream. This year, we are dreaming big and striving to register 400 participants and raise $75,000 for the kids at Seattle Children’s Hospital. We need your help to make childhood illness a thing of the past.

What is Dance Marathon?

Dance Marathon is a nationwide youth-led philanthropy of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. RedhawkTHON is a student-led organization that specifically benefits Seattle Children's Hospital's Uncompensated Care Fund and Cancer Immunotherapy.

Through the Uncompensated Care Fund, RedhawkTHON provides free lifesaving health care to patients at Seattle Children's who otherwise would not be able to afford care. We believe than no family with a sick child should ever have to worry about anything but their child's wellness, regardless of their ability to afford medical care.

The Cancer Immunotherapy uses the immune system to reprogram T Cells to fight against cancer! Through cellular engineering, Seattle Children's Hospital has enabled the body's own immune system to heal itself. Currently, 93% of patients with relaspes leukemia achieved complete remission in this trial.

How Can I Be Involved?
RedhawkTHON would not be possible without the generosity of donors & volunteers, students & local businesses. All donations are tax deductible.
